The 2006 Run For The Hungry 5K race and Kids Mile had over 1,200 participants. Funds raised supported the Community Center and other non-profit organizations in the Foothill and Los Angeles Communities. Past recipients have included Union Station in Pasadena, Door of Hoe, Glendale Emergency Homeless Shelter, The Alzheimer's Association, Five Acres, Selsian Boys and Girls Club of Los Angeles, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, C.I.T.Y Community Services, 91101 Fund, and many others.

This year the race will benefit the Union Station in Pasadena, Door of Hope and Glendale Humane Society to provide meals to those in need. Funds will also be contributed to the Community Center, a low cost provider of quality educational, art, and recreational programs.

The future success of the Run For The Hungry depends on the generosity of organizations like yours. Categories of financial support are as follows:

• Major Sponsor for $5,000
• Specialty Sponsor for $2,000
• Community Sponsor for $1,000
• Event Partner for $500
• Contributor for $250
• Supporter for $100

All sponsors are recognized in publicity, advertising items, posters, and over 15,000 flyers, and radio and news releases. Promotional materials will be circulated for two months throughout the Los Angeles area. Specific levels of sponsorship will also have their organization's name on T-Shirts and be entitled to banner displays at a booth at the finish line.
